I am looking for descendants of Samuel McFarland Hughes, who was a blacksmith in Bay City, Matagorda County, TX until his death in 1930.
Samuel married Margaret Jane Blundell and they had 3 children - Mary Elizabeth Hughes, William Henry Hughes (blacksmith/died in 1917 'flu epidemic), and Margaret Jane Hughes.
Samuel's father was David Hughes, who was nicknamed "Bit Nose" because the tip of his nose had been bitten off.
