I am searching for the final death date/place and place of burial for one Onie Sanders. My Onie Sanders was born in 1881 in IL.
Her family came to TX and in 1901 in Navarro County she married Rufus P. Highnote. About 1903 they went to OK where they are found on the 1910 census record in Creek County. She returns to Navarro County about 1911 and in 1912 she divorced Rufus Highnote.
Then she married Richard Sanders in 1912 according to the death notice for Richard Sanders when he died in 1927.
I found Onie McCleary Highnote Sanders on the 1930 census living in Frost, Navarro Co., TX but nothing since that date.
I did find on the TX Death Indes where one Onie Sanders died April 26, 1970 in Matagorda County. The information says she is single.
Is there someone there who might check the obits for this person so I might determine if she is my Onie Sanders.
To my knowledge Onie had not children, but she had several step children by the last name of Sanders, a step daughter by the last name of Barrow and a step daughter by the last name of Burk and another step daughter by the last name of Barrow.
All information appreciated.
