Gerry:

I am a volunteer at the Mason County Library and have access to the census for 1880. I can tell you what it reads. If you wish a copy of the typewritten page, the library can furnish copies of items in their archives for 50 cents each page. The address is:

Mason County M. Beven Eckert Memorial Library
410 Post Hill
P. O. Drawer 780
Mason, TX 76856

Here is what the page reads for Minerva Hardin:

Under the head of household "W. C. Strother"
He is 56, male (invalid) born in Mo. Father born in Ky. (mother portion missing).

Minerva Hardin age 42 sister-in-law born in Miss. (no information on father or mother)

B. F. Weatherby age 59 male stock raiser born in Ga. father in Ga. (mother portion missing)

Geo. F. Jones 34 male sheep raiser born Mass. father born in Mass. (mother portion missing)

Robert Wilburn (or Hilburn) 30 male shepherd born Mo. father born Mo. (mother portion missing)

That completes the household in 1880 that includes Minerva. I hope it answers some questions for you.

Let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.

Regards,

Janice
