Looking for info on my mother's grandparents and further back. Her grandmother was MARY ALABAMA ADAMS. She was born Feb 14 1852 and died in Feb 1912. She is buried in Madison County, Texas. I'm told her parents were JESSIE (sp?) and MARY ADAMS. Her ADAMS siblings were: JOHN QUINCY ADAMS, TOM ADAMS, BUCK ADAMS, JENNY ADAMS HOLCOMB AND ELLEN ADAMS.She married J. B. YOHE JR and had 7 children. ADDIE, NELLIE, NETTIE, JENNY, WILLIE, JIMMIE AND JOHN BENJAMIN YOHE. NELLIE YOHE married TOM CURRY. Their marriage license was issued in Madisonville and they lived mostly in Madison County. I know they lived in Midway, Brushy Community and in Elwood. They have a 5 yr old daughter, Maybell, who is buried at Ten Mile cemetery. My Tom's mother was NANCY SMITH and his father was WILLIAM JOSHUA (BILL) CURRY. NANCY was blind and lived with Tom and Nellie after Bill died. She was born in 1851; died in 1936 and is buried in Mt. Tabor cemetery. We are told that Grandma Nancy was indian. Her death certificate says she was born in Montgomery county. She lived there for 10 years with her parents, Jim Smith and Julia Parker. I can't find Jim and Julia Smith or any reference to them except for Nancy's death certificate. I cannot locate J.B. YOHE JR or WILLIAM JOSHUA CURRY'S graves even though their spouses are buried at Mt. Tabor. I am hoping someone can remember them and give me some information. I realize this is a long request but they are all linked.
