Have you obtained a copy of her death certificate? If not TX Dth Idx 1890-1976 -- http://search.labs.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html?..#w=;p=2;c=1320964;t=searchable -- You can view digitized copy of original death record. Handwriting on her's is poor.

Mrs. W. J. Galloway, b 10 May 1886, TX; d 14 Jun 1931, Snyder, Scurry Co, TX; married; buried Dunn, TX; father Shilby[sic] probably should be Shelby, a son is named Shelby, (index shows Hieps, but look at hand written record, it might be Hicks); mother McMa--- not clear; informant W.J. Galloway.

Go to the Hicks GenForum, where it says Jump to #, type in 10641, the submitter has more information on the family. Hopefully some sources to back up the info.
