Thank you for your reply about the request for Susan Hollis Batson. I have received the supplemental from DAR for Susan Hollis Batson. I was unable to find a
document for her birth and parents. I did find a deed that
was acceptable with a list of children and spouse which was
accepted. Thank you for your help. It is my opinion, Susan
was born in Texas in 1838 from the 1910 census record. I didn't find the 1850 census for David & Delina Hollis which should have listed her. If she was born in 1837, she was probably born in TN. She is not listed on the Texas birth records or 1913 death records, that I could find. I do appreciate your reply and interest. I will be happy to be of assistance to you if you need help with Batson or Hollis genealogy. There was a nice write up in the Normangee Star
about her Granddaughter, Mrs. Martin, now 100 years old.
