I appreciate your response. The Brewster family branch of my family tree sure is elusive. There isn't very much documented about them. The ones in Louisiana were farmers that struggled just to survive. I would love to find out where they originated from before the 1850 Nachitoches Parish, La. census, and what happened after the 1860 Sabine Parish, La. census. Why Hiram and his brother, William, ended up in Texas with the Ezra Byrd family is still a mystery. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Chris Smith
