Hiram Brewster and Cynthia DeFee

I am researching a Hiram Brewster that was born in Sabine Parish, La. about 1852. He and his brother, William, appear in the 1870 census for Madison, Tx. They were living with the Ezra Byrd family. It seems that Hiram stayed in Madison and married Cynthia DeFee, and that his brother, William, went back to Sabine parish later and married Mary Jane Isgitt. I am trying to find out about his family and why he and his brother ended up in Texas with the Byrd family. I can find them in 1850 with his father, J.B. and his mother, Jenetta, in Sabine Parish, La. His parents disappear after that and can't be found as well as a younger brother named, Andrew. Any help would be appreciated. Chris Smith
