Mildred,
Lamesa is my hometown and it is in Dawson Co. TX. The largest cemetery in the county is Lamesa Memorial Park. I don't live there now but a cousin got a lot of the cememtery info. from the Lamesa library. I know there were a lot of Mitchell's there at one time. My grandfather's brother, Thomas Franklin was married to Prudie Mitchell. A lot of those Mitchell's came from Lafayette Co. MS. Hope this helps. Coque
