You might try contacting the public library in Groesbeck, see if they have old newspapers for the area in their collection, or know where you could find them. There should be something in the newspaper regarding a homocide. Since you have the obit for Isaac you would have exact date of his death. Or, you can find that on the Limestone Co, TX GenWeb site, with list of those buried in the Lost Prairie Cemetery -- http://www.rootsweb.com/%7Etxlimest/

My husband has Rambo ancestors buried in the Lost Prairie Cemetery, too. Have you been there? If not you might find pictures on the Butler Co, AL, site interesting. Wonder why they are on that AL site??? A lot of the Sims headstones are also pictured. Francis Jane Rambo married James Randolph Sims. The church and cemetery look just like those photos. http://rootsweb.com/~albutler/cemeteries/lostprairie/lostprairie-photos1.htm

Others are working on this online Rootsweb's WorldConnect -- http://wc.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi -- type in Kennedy, Isaac, born 1826, died 1869 and up come several matches. You'll notice they do not agree on all of their posted information. But, you could contact them and find out their sources, maybe share what you know and get it all squared up.

Happy Hunting (^_^)
