Joyce, I suggest you contact the Sam Houston Regional Library and Research Center, P.O. Box 310, Liberty, Texas 77575-0310, TEL 409-336-8821.

They can answer your questions about the names of the newspapers. It's possible they may even have the newspapers on microfilm.

If you live anywhere close to Liberty County, TX, I recommend you visit the Research Center.
