Hi,

I am Sue, am a Perkins researcher.

Your question is a work in progress for me.

My George Perkins was born in 1782, he married in RichmondCO, NC in 1809 to Elizabeth Wynn. He then moved on to DicksonCo, TN where he served in the W. of 1812 in 2nd Regt. of W. Tennessee. His family moved on to AL, LA and into Texas, started out in the Angelina area, but also Leon/Robertson.

It has been suggested that Berry W. Perkins is a son of Wright Perkins of NC, and that Wrights father was Jacob Perkins also of Richmond, he had about 1 children, and from what I see they many of the moved in different directions making them hard to trace. Most of the Richmond Perkins went to the Dickson/Hickman area about 1810. I am nearly 100% certain my George is connected to this very large family line, but my research is a work in progess as to exactly how.
