YES HIS NAME WAS MCCASKILL AND HE WAS 91 YR OLD IN 1900 CENSUS, CENTERVILLE, LEON CO,., WITH HIS CHILDREN THE SCROGGINS & JOHNSON, THEY ARE STILL IN LEON CO. IN 1910 & 1920, BUT HAVE CHECKED ALL CEMETERIES I KNOW IN LEON CO., AND CAN'T FIND A BURIAL PLOT FOR HIM, EVEN CHECKED THE ADJOINING COUNTIES, HE WAS BORN MAY, 1809 IN NORTH CAROLINA AND HIS WIFE WAS MELINDA MCBEATH (MCBETH), YOU WILL FIND A JOHNNIE MCCASKILL IN TUBB CEMTERY WHERE MANY OF MY LINE OF MCCASKILLS ARE BUT THAT I THINK IS HIS SON, HAS NO DATE BUT SOMEONE HAS PUT A SMALL STONE THAT SAYS JOHNNIE MCCASKILL, SO AM ASSUMING IT IS HIM AS HE WAS IN THIS COUNTY TOO, BUT SO APPREICATE ANY SUGGESTIONS, ADVICE OR HELP YOU CAN GIVE ME TO FIND JOHN, THIS 1900 AND AFTER IS STILL A GRAY AREA FOR RECODING DEATHS, HAVE TRIED TO RESEARCH THRU OLD NEWSPAPER BUT HAVEN'T GOT THUS FAR, NO SHOWING IN LAND DEEDS, TAX ROLL THUS FAR AS I'VE LOOKED BUT AS A RESEARCHER ONE CAN OVERLOOK MANY THINGS MANY TIMES, AGAIN THANKS SO MUCH, LILLIAN BEASLEY
