A town called DOWNEY OR DONNEY in Leon Co.?

Searching for some info on the old town, I think it would be near BUFFALO, TX? DOWNEY or DONNEY.

What RR came through there in late 1800's or early 1900's?
Is there a list of families who resided there abt. this time period?
