I am also researching John Thomas Fryer m. Matilda Pierce family. There are various spellings for the Fryer name-Fryer/Friar/Fryar.
I have the 1860 census Leon Co., Texas
I have been told that he is possible buried the Williams Cemetery between Medina & Bandera, but I am not sure.
I am especially interested in Joseph Richard Friar, B. March 1888, d. Honey Creek Bandera Co. Tx. in 1913, Honey Creek Cem.
I would like to find more information and documentation for his spouse and children. I believe they lived in the Medina, Bandera, and Mills Co., Texas areas.
The only census that I have found him on is through - 1900 Census Justice Precinct 3, Bandera, Texas with his mother and step father.
I think Joseph Richard Friar/Fryer's spouse is Sary Elizabeth Bessent (also spelled Sarah). I think they had one daughter named Annie Elizabeth Friar/Fryer who married George "Jack" Fryer.
I do not have Annie's date of birth, date of death, marriage or divorce date. I believe after her divorce from George she remarried First Name Unknown Dobson, but I can find no documentation for this. They lived in San Saba and Mills Counties. (I got this information from birth records for George & Annie's 3 children at
Thanking you in advance for your assistance.
