In family history F477 of the Leon County History Book, Moses HILL is mentioned. It tells of him receiving a passport from the Governor of Georgia on Monday, March 20, 1809 to go through the Creek Nation of Indians. Two of his sons were killed enroute to Mississippi Territory, but another son, Starling, survived. In 1810, Moses returned to Jones Co., GA to bring the rest of the family to Clarke Co.(now AL).

Starling's son, Orsamus, moved to Freestone Co., TX around 1857. Freestone Co. neighbors Leon Co. Is this your Moses?

The Edwards and Baker families also have histories. Does your local genealogy library have a copy of the Leon County History Book? I believe the gen. societies often exchange like material.

Yes, I would be most interested in information on the WOODARD and HARRISON families who lived in Clarke CO., AL.
