Hi,

This IS interesting. It could be anything from the families being friends in Georgia all the way to them being lovers.

Do you have copies of their obituaries and wills?

Mandy Bell
Died: 7 June 1911, Lee Co. TX per death cert #13969.
Source: Texas Death Index 1903-2000

I couldn't find Willis's death info in Ancestry or FamilySearch.

Deeds, probate minutes and death records and more are on microfilm at Texas A&M University for Lee County, www.tsl.state.tx.us/arc/local/lee.html. You have to go to your local public library and ask them to do an inter-library transfer of the film(s) which is generally no charge unless you live in Oregon

You can also contact the Lee County Clerk who should have Willis's death info and might have more.

You can contact the Lee county Genealogical Society, www.leecountygenealogy.org/ about copies of their obituaries.

Stephen Willis Holton
Born: 21 March 1854, Worth County, Georgia
Died: 4 Feb 1931, Texas

Most larger public libraries provide free access to Ancestry if you have a local library card. Successful Searching!
