Mrs. Lizzie Alexander, a life long resident of Lee County, Texas, except for about two years spent with her son in Fulton, passed away Oct. 5, 1946. She was rushed to a hospital in Brenham, Texas where death overtook her. Mrs. Alexander, almost 69 years old, was born in Lee County, Texas, the daughter of W. B. and Susan Moss Barnes. In 1908 she was married to William Newton Alexander who died on April 28, 1933. Funeral services were held Oct. 9th. Her body was laid to rest in the Giddings, Texas cemetery. She was a devout member of the Giddings Methodist Church. She had a wide acquaintance, a large circle of friends, who loved and respected her.
Survivors included her two sons, Seth Harvey (Newt) Alexander of Fulton, Miss., and William Grady Alexander of Giddings, Texas; one granddaughter, one sister and five brothers.
