Is anyone looking for the name THEILENGERDES from the Oldenburg Germany area? My grandfather, his siblings and parents came from there between about 1884 and 1889. His fathers name was Gerhard. His mothers name was Annie or Anna. Her last name may have been something like HEINJES. They may have sailed to Baltimore, MD, USA, first, but ended up in Texas (Fayette and Lavaca counties). The children were Yohanna (1880), Fritz (1882) and August (1884). The RAUs were also from Oldenburg. The earliest persons I have from that family are Heinrich and Marie (Heider) RAU. The SEIDEL family came from Friedeberge, PRUSSIA, in or near Silesia. Joseph and Magdalena (Matschke) Seidel immigrated through Galveston, TX, first going to the Austin County, TX, area--later to Moulton, Lavaca County, TX. They were accompanied by several sons and daughters, as well as by married daughter Pauline Dierschke, her husband Joseph Franz D. and their 2 small daughters.
