Book on Lavaca County, Texas ???
Posted by: Dorothy (Moran) Newman Date: July 30, 2001 at 08:16:27

If anyone has books on early Lavaca County, Texas, it would be a blessing if you could do me the favor of looking up the name of Charles (Charley) H. Moran to see if there is any reference to him. All I know is that he was last found in the 1870 Lavaca Co. Fed. census, indexed incorrectly as Morron. His wife was Elizabeth Ann Buckholts, who moved to OK after Charles died. There were several children. He seems to have disappeared after that census, as no other records are found on him. Don't even know where to find death records. Many thanks, Dorothy (Moran) Newman dnewman7@earthlink.net
