Help - Anyone doing research on ROGERS in Lampasas area

Just found out that records in the Lampasas Library before 1900 have been destroyed. Only information I have on my great grandfather WILLIAM "BILL" ROGERS is:
1) in 1886 WILLIAM and his wife MARY LUCINDA "MOLLIE" (nee: Roark)along with their one year old son MANCE MANUEL ROGERS moved to Lampasas Springs (now Lampasas) from Jacksonville, Cherokee County, Texas.
2) WILLIAM had a sister named ELLA that owned a clothing store in Lampasas Springs.
3) Had another sister named Sarah (or Sally) that lived in San Saba (close to Lampasas Springs)and married a Kuydendall and lived in a stone house.
4)that WILLIAM was killed by lightening in 1886/7 in Lampasas.
5) many years later when MANCE applied for a social security number he listed his father's first name as JOHN.
The full name of the WILLIAM "BILL" ROGERS that I am searching for may be JOHN WILLIAM ROGERS or WILLIAM JOHN ROGERS.

I plan on being in the Lampasas area on 13 Oct to try and research information. Anyone having an idea where I might gain information please contact me.
