Henry McDonald Flecher, b. Ireland, d. Texas 1909?

Anyone know anything about this man; a schoolteacher and poet, originally from Co. Antrim? He published verse in Ireland and in America. It is said several family members died after arriving in US leaving him elderly and on his own. Died 1909 apparently; I can't find him in the 1881 census online but he is perhaps in the next one? Born perhaps 1827. He seems to have been a schoolteacher in Blossom, Texas
