Hi Dorothy! See if any of this will help! The Lamar co. USGenWeb site has an amazing cemetery database. They have her listed, with a funeral home record and an obit from the Dallas Morning News: "DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 6 Jul 1899, p. 3: 'FULTON--Paris, Tex., July 5. -- Mrs. W. L. Fulton died last night at Harper, Gillespie county, where she went several weeks ago. The body will be brought to Paris for burial." Unfortunately, there's no listing of which cemetery. She may not have had a tombstone or the tombstone is missing. Here's the website: http://www.theusgenweb.org/tx/lamar/search-with-photos.php?pageNum_Recordset1=2&totalRows_Recordset1=23&Lname=fulton&Fname=&Finder=Submit+Query In case the search doesn't come up, here's the website for Lamar Co. USGenWeb http://gen.1starnet.com/ Then I did a little cross referencing with Family Search's Texas Death Certificates, the Lamar USGenWeb marriage records and the censuses. Looks like Jesse Lucy and William married in 1890, and he remarried shortly after her death (with 3 little children, I can understand): Here's from the Lamar Co. UGW site Marriage database: Hicks, Lucy M. 1890 Willie L. Fulton Lamar TX Fulton, William Lander 1900 Nellie Lloyd Donahue Lamar TX Also, on cursory looking, Jesse Lucy might have been the daughter of Sarah Jane Pyles and Joshua Hicks. If this is correct, then Sarah and Joshua are buried at the Pyles cemetery in Lamar Co. Next to Sarah are 4 unmarked wooden stakes. It might be one of those belongs to Jesse. Here are Sarah's dates: Hicks Sarah J. 11 Nov 1838 26 Dec 1913 Joshua does not have any dates listed for him. Also at the Pyles cemetery are numerous Hicks, including a son of Joshua and Sarah, Joseph L. Interestingly, there's a Hicks that is posting info about the Pyles Cemetery on the Lamar Co UGW site. Anyway, hope this gives you some help/leads. Maybe you can help me with the Dickins/Dickens? :) Good luck! Andrea P.S. If it is useful to you, I coud probably get a PDF of Jesse Lucy's obit. Just let me know. Notify Administrator about this message?
