You are welcome Kim. I tried to locate in my paperwork about Thos Wilkins, but could not find it. It has been many years ago, that I found some info about how he would buy slaves for the other farmers, and make a profit on them. If my memory is right, he would only sell to the ones he knew, that would treat the slaves good. There was a white man who lived there in Rutherford, NC, named Felix Logan. That is who Thos sold your family to. Felix Logan knew Grandfather Rutherford, and he sold the slave and whole family to grandfather Rutherford. Judge Rutherford was raised by his grandfather, and was left Felix Logan, the slave, and family to Judge Rutherford, and they moved to Texas. That is how your family came to be in Texas. At least if my memory is right. At least you have something to follow. I love your web sight on Ansestry.com. You have done a lot of work. My family knew the Rutherford family and married into their family. My grandfather thought very highly of the Rutherford family, and also knew some of your Logan family, and thought highly of them also. Good luck. Vidia
