Cathy:

Sorry to be so long in getting back to you re: Hammons

The Munday Courier used to be the Munday Times and I am
sure they have archives of the old paper if they would
just look it up for you.

I am looking at a book called "Knox County History" which
I believe is out of print. I will try to find out and let
you know. In this book, there is a paragraph about a Dr.
Hammond. All it says is "In 1922 the chamber of commerce was organized and in 1920 the Munday Study Club held its first meeting in the home of Dr. Hammond." Not much help

There is another book called "My Home Town Munday" which
doesnot have an Index but I will go through that book as soon as time permits and see what I can find in it.

I will get the number for the Knox County Herald and send it to you later. Can't find my directory at the moment.
