Iíve reached a dead end in my research in Texas. Does anyone have anything more on my g-g-grandparents?
This is what I have:
Guadalupe Hernandez and Mario Perez were born around 1835.
Their daughter, Guadalupe Perez Hernandez, was listed as being born in 1855 in Brackettville, according to the 1880 census.
Agapito Gonzales and Josefa Revelear were born around 1835.
Their son, Nestor Gonzales, is listed in the 1880 census as being born in 1855 in Bracketville, the same as his wife Guadalupe Perez Hernandez.
But, I suspect these birth years and places are rough census taker estimates.
I find no record anywhere in the world of the surname Revelear. I suspect it is a corruption of a French surname, perhaps Revelier.
Nestor Gonzales and Guadalupe Perez had two children, according to the 1880 census:
Catalina Gonzales in 1877,
and my great grandmother, Antonia Gonzales, in 1879.
I have the marriage certificate for Nestor Gonzales and Guadalupe Peres, issued February 3, 1875 in Wilson, Texas.
I also have the marriage certificates for sisters Catalina Gonzales (to Juan Martinez), and Antonia Gonzales (to Cleofas Figueroa), who were both married in 1895 in Brackettville.
Iíve seen the marriage cert for Agapito Gonzales and Josefa Revelear, but I canít find my scan of it. I did record the witnesses and they were all born in Texas, as well as their parents as far back as 1768. This leads me to believe that Agapito and Josefa were also born in Texas, but I find no actual proof of their place, and date of birth.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
