Cheryl: From another book "Families of Kimble County, available from the same source. Robert L. Crisp is shown as the son of Samuel Mathis Crisp, who was born October 5, 1814 in Kentucky and died October 6, 1889. He was buried in Chaffin Cemetery in McCulloch County, Texas. Samuel married Elizabeth Jane Dudley, who was born November 8, 1820 in Kentucky. No date of death shown. The article for the book was submitted by Doris Crisp of Fort McKavett, Texas.

I am not related to the Crisp family as far as I know. My family was in Kimble County from the 1880s until the early 1900s. They have scattered in all directions since then.
I have been in Junction on three occassions for genealogy research, and have purchased the two books I have mentioned. There is a second book on Kimble County Families that is available, but I have yet to purchase the later book.
