Eileen,

Since you have received no follow-ups on your Slaughter search, I'll offer what is probably grasping at straws: Outside Medina, TX, in Bandera County, which borders Kerr County, where your Lurinda Jane Slaughter was recorded, there is a Slaughter Cemetery. (It's also known as Honey Creek Cemetery.)

There is an on-line roster of the marked graves at http://www.txgenweb2.org/txbandera/ceme-honey.html . It includes several Slaughters.

Additionally, Gloria Mayfield has done her usual excellent work and shows at http://www.cemeteries-of-tx.com/Wtx/Bandera/ListBandera.html that one Susan Hawkins has undertaken rosters for several area cemetery rosters and has submitted the GPS coordinates (but no list as yet) for the cemetery.

Likely you know all this but possibly it will provide a lead you didn't have before. I hope you find her.

Therold
