Les: I have some info about where these WEIRs are in the Census' and are in cemeteries. Beatrice (jr) the school teacher has created some questions for me.

Mother Beatrice never remarried and is in the Glen Rest Cemetery of Kerr Co. TX as is son Harvey Paschal WEIR. Oldest daughter Henrietta married 1st S.C. TOWNES in Leon Co then Walter REAL in Kerr Co. She too is in the Glen Rest Cemetery.

But now, on Beatrice (jr).. She is a school teacher in 1900 Milam Co.; 1910 Kerr Co with mother and sister... married Fred MALLORY? (died 1913), then married Fred REAL. 1920 Bea jr is with REAL and mom. Beatrice HARRISON Weir died 1925.

Then it looks like Beatrice Jr married Dale Hankins COMPARETTE and is in the 1930 census with him. Their home has a historical marker. Writeups say this Beatrice was also a school teacher.

My confusion is Fred REAL didnt die until 1961... and is in the 1930 census with Florence N. .... so did Bea divorce him (i doubt) or never REALLY marry him.

My grandmother was Lucile HARRISON Sanders.. I think you may have corresponded with her in the 80's.

Lucy WATSON Trant

PS.. If anyone else knows more about the Beatrice married to COMPARETTE, please correspond.

My line is the father of Beatrice HARRISON Weir thru her brother Thomas Wildie HARRISON.
