It was in Blanco in 1860.

Sisterdale was part of Blanco County (the upper/western part) until Kendall was organized.

In early 1861, the residents of Comfort (then part of Kerr) petitioned the Texas Legislature to "move" Sisterdale and Boerne into Kerr in order that Comfort could remain the county seat. The petition seems to have been ignored.
