I am looking for descendents of Thomas Reeves, who is on page 542 of the Kaufman Co. TX 1850 census. Thomas is living in dwelling 339 with his wife Elizabeth. Thomas is a 63 years old farmer who was born in South Carolina. His wife Elizabeth is 63 years old and born in Kentucky. I believe their two children are living in dwelling 341. Their 22 year old daughter Elizabeth has married John McBee and her 21 year old brother, William C. Reeves is living with them.
I believe this Thomas Reeves descends from the Reeves family that was in Davidson Co. TN prior to 1800. I am trying to prove that this Thomas Reeves is the nephew of Charlotte Reeves Robertson, whose husband Gen. James Robertson is considered the "father of Nashville".
I have information on antecedents of Thomas that I am willing to share.
