Daryl: Since you live in Kaufman County, you should easily obtain access to a 6 volume set of books which transcribe many or most of the known cemeteries in Kaufman County. Just check with your local library. Also, many cemeteries are transcribed and may be found on the Kaufman County GenWeb site:

http://www.txgenweb5.org/txkaufman/

Just go to the site index on the left. There is a great deal of material there including resources, listings and transcriptions.

You might also check with the local library and/or historical society to determine whether or not a similar project wasn't done by the UDC. These ladies often did this sort of thing. Be aware that transcriptions are often done by taking a physical inventory of standing stones and not necessarily in conjunction with the cemetery records (if they exist or if they are complete). While in some cases the transcriptions do note if a Condederate marker is present, you can't always be certain. You probably know that many small family plots are long gone and there is likely no record of the burials. Anyway, thought this might at least give you a starting point.
