Reference your post on Jan 17, 2006 on the subject surnames. Daniel N. Airheart was my grandfather. When I was growing up I knew Eliza. We called Grandma Elliott. I also knew Mattie, Ida and husband , M.A. Edwards. I also knew James (Jim) and George. I attended Eliza's funeral at The Becker Methodest Church in the Becker Community north of Kemp. I think she was burried in the Kemp Cemetery. I don't remember the date but, it must have been about 1934 or 35. I was only 6 or 7 yeaars at that time.

From the list of names and dates in your post I assume you got this data, as I did, from the 1880 census report. There is one name missing from this info. There was another sister, Lena, born in 1896. I did not know Alice. She must hav been William's daughter by a prior marriage. I cannot provide much more info on the Elliotts than what I have given here. I do have a lot of information on the Airhearts. If you need data on them I will be happy to provide what I know.

I now live in Kaufman, TX having relocated back to this part of the world two years ago. If you would like to call by phone, s-send me an e-mail and I will give you a number or we can correspond by e-mail.
