TX Dth Idx 1890-1976 --;p=2;c=1320964;t=searchable -- You can view digitized copy of original death certificates for more details. Keep in mind Texas did not require deaths to be recorded until 1903, and even then some still were not recorded until later date.

James Tom Lewellen, b 21 Jun 1886, MS; d 18 Mar 1966, Dallas, Dallas Co, TX; married; buried Laurel Land Cemetery, Dallas; father Jim Lewellen; mother Callie Vizer; informant Mrs. Ada L. Lewellen.

You might want to check record for Charlie Frank Lewellen, d 1949, Dallas, TX. Father is listed the same, but mother is shown as Callie Fizer.
