Jones, Brewer and Hutcheson Families

My great grandparents were D C Jones and Elizabeth Brewer. They were married in Kaufman, Texas on July 17, 1884. We have only stories since their past is a mystery to everyone living. We do know that D C or David Crockett Jones was a lucky winner at the Lawton OK Land Allotment Drawing and did receive a section of land outside of Lawton, Comanche County, OK for the $16.00 fee. They made improvements and sold the property then moved to Carter County, OK where they lived in Ardmore, Lone Grove and Springer. They moved from the Kaufman County, TX area around 1900 since my grandfather was the last child born in Kaufman. Elizabeth was named Caroline Elizabeth and called Caro. Her mother had the same name and was a Hutcheson. My great grandmothers oldest daughter was named Caroline Elizabeth and called Callie. We have been told that all first daughters were named Caroline Elizabeth. Aunt Callie married a Berryhill and lived-died in Ardmore, Carter County, OK. The photo that we have of Caroline Elizabeth Brewer Jones shows a short, grandmotherly plump woman with snow white hair. Both D C and Caroline Elizabeth are buried at the Missionary Baptist Church in Springer, Carter County, OK. D C Jones had three brothers. I think that they were named Samuel, Obediah and Clemuel. Their mothers last name was Meadows and she was supposedly Cherokee. D C father was a blacksmith. That is all that we know.

If anyone can solve our mystery . . . THANK YOU.
