Hello from a Kaufman Co. genealogist and volunteer. I don't know if you are aware of this but only direct descendants can get copies of death certificates. You can order a copy from the Kaufman Courthouse. It may give her parents names. When people do lookups they are only looking for people listed in the death indexes, the death index only gives a persons name and what day they died. We have no way of seeing or getting a death certificate unless it is our parent or grandparent.

There were death certificates in 1929. There should be a copy of that certificate also at the courthouse unless they just didn't file. Everyone was suppose to by then but some didn't.

I also had ancestors that came from Lauderdale Co., AL to Kaufman Co. about that same time. Let me know if I can help you find any info in that county. I am always visiting that counties website and it has a lot of info. I have visited there a few times.

Take care and good luck. You can email me at
