Thanks to two first cousins, I have quite a bit of info on the Smart families. My dad's sister, Lillie Mae SCHULENBURG (b: 11/1/1910 D 1/1/1994), married Eddie Lee Smart (B: 3/16/09 D 1/10/86) on Nov 21, 1931. They have six children. Uncle Eddie Lee's parents were John Walter SMART (B: 1884 d: 1954) and Rachel Lear MOSES (B 1886 D 1973). They are all buried in the Kenedy Cemetery.

Uncle Eddie Lee's siblings were John Wesley (b 1907); Henry "Bob Clayton (B 1910 d 1976); Nellie "Dollie" Kizzar (b 1913 d 1969); Callie "Teet" Elizabeth (b 1915 d 1981); Florence Lillian (b 7/9/1924 d 7/15/1995).

My dad's brother Louis Frank Schulenburg (b 12/10/1907 d 12/21/1988) married and divorced Uncle Eddie Lee's cousin Letha Lolet Smart (living). They have 3 children and we all grew up together. Aunt Letha's parents were James Edward "Eddie" Smart (b 1887 d 2/9/1951) and Melinda Jan Ivy (B 7/3/1890 d Nov 1985) Aunt Letha had 13 siblings - - all her sisters have passed away and she has 2 brothers still living.

My daddy was the oldest in his family - Edgar Lee Schulenburg (b 3/5/1905 and just passed away on 6/28/2001). Besides Uncle Louis and Aunt Lillie Mae, he had another brother Herbert Powell who was born in 1913 and died in 1930 due to lockjaw - - He was chopping wood and a piece flew up in his cheek and got infected. Daddy's parents were Charles Louis SCHULENBURG (b 1/26/1878 d 10/31/1950) and Lillie BOSSLER (B 3/4/1885 d 9/26/1961)

I have lots more - - . email me at gwsedgwick@earthlink.net
