I am Richard Pullen of Fort Worth, Texas. Among the many Allied families to the Sears family which I continue to do research, is the Pedrick Family.

Father/Mother: Joel Wheeler Pedrick/1843-1882?> Mother: Mary Catherine Jenkins (1839-1925?/
Mother: Anna Elizabeth Pedrick Sears /1872-1953/
Father: Ralph R. Sears /1895-1982/
Mother: Juanita L. Sears Pullen )1919-1990/
Richard Raymond Pullen/b. 1944
My Line to the Pedrick Family/read up
Joel and Mary Catherine Pedrick had four children: 1/Julia Ellen (called Nelly)Pedrick/ married Sidney Jones (had two kids and went to Alameda, California area.....2/ Joseph Franklin Pedrick (of which not much is known of him, after leaving home after the death of his father....3/ Marion Robert Pedrick a World Adventurer who lived in Indonesia, Canada, Africa, South America and finally the US alone,at Concord, California in his old age(he died in Los Angeles in 1951).... and 4/ Anna Elizabeth Pedrick who married George Hastings Sears in 1888 in barber County, Kansas.
This inquiry concerns the second child and first son. Joseph Franklin. There is much mis-information about this person. Certain things are known. With his siblings, he was born in Payson (or Payson City, according to some sources). Joseph lived there with his family until the death of his father from one of the "period" diseases, in Pawnee City, Nebraska on a "Horse-Buying" trip. Joseph left Payson, soon after this( approx 1882). Mary Catherine and the other three kids, ran and helped to run different "rooming houses" in several cities including Topeka and Kansas City. When Julia and family left for California, "Mama" Mary Catherine, went with her.
And according to a census record, a Joseph F. Pedrick was living with that family for a period of time, I think 1900.
Yet all of her life Anna was told that "No one knew what ever happened to brother Joseph". One must wonder? If anyone has any ideas or Information on this strange set of circumstances, please contact me. Richard Pullen 817-457-9160 in Fort Worth. Thanks in advance. I am Frank Pedrick's GGG nephew.
