Hi Charlene,
I don't know about the "Guide" but if you live near a genealogy library you can ask them if they have a "Gazetteer" for newspapers. This lists all the newspapers past and present and tells you where you might view them on Microfilm. If you live in Texas, several libraries carry this microfilm. Univ. of Texas has a lot of these films but also various other libraries also have copies. I know that a library in Galveston has a copy of a newspaper from Jones Co. that I hope to go see soon. Good luck. Elizabeth (What surname are you interested in? - I am researching Fleming out in Jones Co. - my gr.grandmother died there in 1917)
