Glenda....L. C. Bonds is listed as a son on the 1930 Jones County, TX census.

The following is on Rootsweb's WorldConnect. Perhaps the above mentioned L. C.? The post was done this month, so you should be able to contact the person who posted the info.
Here is a site that lists Texas Deaths. There is a Joe E. Bonds who died in 1977 in Jones County and a Lillie D. Bonds who died in 1972 in Jones County. Also, a L. C. Bonds who died in 1986 in Dallas County, but of course don't know if he is your L. C.
These are from the Social Security Death Index:

JOE BONDS 24 Jun 1891 Sep 1977 79520 (Hamlin, Jones, TX) 79520 (Hamlin, Jones, TX) 459-14-8123 Texas

JOE E BONDS 21 Jul 1921 19 Oct 1996 (V) 79520 (Hamlin, Jones, TX) (none specified) 454-28-1760 Texas

Perhaps obtaining obituaries would help you with living family members? Here is the contact info for the library in Anson, which appears to be the nearest library to Hamlin. Maybe they can tell you who might have the Hamlin Herald newspaper on microfilm.

Anson Public Library

1137 12th St, Anson, TX 79501

Here is the Hamlin newspaper contact info:

Here is a Jones County volunteer who will do cemetery lookups:
Good luck with your research....Pauline
