Mr. Holub,
Thank you so much for your reply. I had given up on finding out anything about that newspaper. What I am doing is checking into some family history. My g-grandfather was Calvin Jones Cochran Munroe, usually found as C. J. Munroe. He moved his family to Jones County in the 1880's and was elected County Judge in 1890. According to research done by my uncle, C. J. Munroe served only one term as County Judge because he wanted to go into the newspaper business. He became owner and editor of "The Guide." I understand it had a definite political slant because C. J. Munroe was an ardent populist. I would appreciate any information you can give me about the paper.
