I know about the Anson Guide newspaper. It was published from about 1885 to just the turn of the century. The Anson Guide is very hard to find and I've only seen about 10-20 issues. Most of the issues on in the hands of private collectors, but the Texas Archives has a few in their collection.

They have not been microfilmed and they are very brittle. Was there a name that you were looking for in the newspapers?
