The LDS site has an entry stating that Susan F. Caruthers Randle, born about 1825, died January 1863 in Fort Worth, Texas. Another entry states that Aquilla Pierce's wife was Sarah Frances Caruthers, born 1841, died 1874. Apparently two different women.

Many Randle and Caruthers families ended up in Atascosa and Frio Counties, Texas. My great-granduncle Thomas A. Brooks married Nettie Novel Randle; they lived in San Angelo, Texas. The Caruthers family was also closely related and intermarried into the Brooks family in the latter part of the 19th century. I have not personally researched these families but have a cousin who is descended from Nettie Novel Randle and Thomas A. Brooks who may have more information. Contact me privately and I'll put you in contact with her.
