Hi I am trying to find info on my mother's cousin. We think she may have been buried in Evergreen Cemetary in Jasper, TX. Her name is Ruby Burks. Her parents were Walter Burks and Effie Simmons Burks. Ruby's mother died when Ruby was very young and her father married a woman named Arthemise M. Parker who was buried in Evergreen Cemetary. We think she may have died at a young age. Last known age was approx. 6 or 7 years old when her father married Arthemise Parker. She has two younger siblings that were buried in Evergreen Cemetary. They are Infant Burks born 12/11/1916 and died 12/12/1916 and also Woodrow W. Burks born 10/20/1917 died 1/23/1967. I was wondering if there is any listing of her in Evergreen cemetary. We would like to find where she is buried because my aunt who will be 90 in October would love to locate her as we have been searching for quite some time for Ruby's place of burial. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks, Gay Martel PS. Ruby's father was not buried in Evergreen. He was buried in Meadows Cemetary in Merryville, LA. Oh, and Ruby's mother was buried in Merryville too. She is not buried there. This is the only place we think she could be since they lived in Jasper County after he married Arthemise & the fact that she and Ruby's siblings are buried there as well.
