This is a good friend of mines family, not actually mine., I have just been working on it for her. Her brother sent me his copy of the book you mention.

I have another contact, who says Leonard Covington Sweat died 18 Dec 1931, making him 119 years of age. Hard to believe, but possible. It says he died in Jasper, Jasper
Co. TX and also says, it also says he died in Madison Co. but buried nearly 100 miles away from Nadison Co. in Jasper Co. This person's info says, possible he is buried at the Jasper Cem. in Houston Co. There is an L C Sweat and L Sweat Jr. buried in a black cemetery in Trinity Co.

Would there be a death record that you might be able to find? Living in IL, I am having problems finding things in TX, and they want $21 for a death cert. Pretty steep.

Yes, the Sweat line that I am working on, came through LA. I also have a copy of the book you mention. Just got it from a family member, and haven't got it all gone through yet.

Also HUNTING burial of Troy Leonard Sweat, supposed to be in Angelina Co. Sure would like to find a cemetery listing of his burial, and get a copy., Again there, I would love his death cert.,
