Jeptha Colvin was born 1794@Chester Co., SC. Moved to Lincoln Parish, LA, with his parents, Daniel & Susannah Colvin.
After the death of his first wife, Narcissa, in 1861, Jeptha moved to Newton Co., TX. Jeptha married in about 1865 to Amanda Smith. Jeptha & Amanda had one son, Willie, in about 1866, reportedly in Jasper Co., TX.
Jeptha died in about 1868. Amanda remarried to a William McFarland (shown in 1870 census).
Looking for the burial place of Jeptha Colvin in Jasper Co., TX.
