I would like for representatives of Sarah and Lettie's families their to celebrate this most special occassion with us if at all possible.
Andrew was my ggggrandfather and died on his way home from the Civil War of disease. He survived the most tremendous of circumstances in the civil war representing Jasper Co TX and then died before he got to make it home to his wife and 7 children. I come from his son Leonard Louis Crockett.
the names of Andrew's wife and 7 children are being inscribed on the back of his Civil War Memorial Stone as well
His stone will be placed in Antioch along side of his youngest son Andrew Jackson Crockett.
the Veterans Administration provided the White Civil War Memorial Stone for Andrew at my request.
It came in in Oct 2007.
If you or any of your family members are interested in attending please notify me by email before March 1, 2008 so that we may get a pretty good idea of who and how many will be attending so that we may be able to make sure we have plenty of Ceremony Sheet to pass out for those who do attend.
WE have also invited KBMT TV Beaumont, The Buna Beacon and The Beaumont Enterprise as well. I am pretty sure the Buna Beacon will be there as they requested a pre letter about Andrew prior to the Ceremony but have not heard back from the other 2 as of today.
I am sending the letter to the Buna Beacon later today.
I will let you know if and when I hear from them.
I am planning on taking a group photo of all the known descendants of Andrew and his sisters who attend the ceremony as well. I will also try and get all the names for the photo as well to put with it.
Please if you can attend this most celebrated occassion let me know.
For anyone needed a letter for a job let me know and I will send one.
