Barbara, I have a little bit of information that may be helpful to you. There are two male Wilkins marriages in early Jackson Co: Wilkins, J. K. md. Elizabeth Brown 25 Oct 1873 Wilkins, R. P. md. Mary J. L. Higdon 26 Dec 1863 There is one female marriage in early Jackson Co: Wilkins, Mary E. md. Robert I. Raleigh 21 Nov 1861 There is a Higdon Cemetery in Jackson Co. I have not been there, but the listing I have shows it is north of Edna. Take FM 822 north 12 miles. Turn left on FM 127 (Robinson Ranch Road). The cemetery is in a field about 5 miles west of the Robinson Ranch house. This is the listing I have: HIGDON, William R. (b. 30 Sep 1845, d. 24 Oct 1875) WILKINS, Mary J. (b. 31 Aug 1812, d. 20 Dec 1873) WILKINS, Susanna (b. 12 Jan 1865, d. 20 Dec 1873) HEFFERMAN, James (b. 11 Jan 1829, d. 19 Nov 1879) According to information that I found, William R. Higdon was killed in DeWitt Co during the Sutton-Taylor feud. He was married to Martha J. Golden. Martha's sister, Elizabeth Golden, md. (1) John Brown (also killed during feud), and (2) W. P.
