Andy,
I have to correct what I said previously about the death date of Hannah Gainer McWhorter. The name that I though was Thomas Wiggand was actually Thomas WIGGINS. Thomas Wiggins married Hannah J. Edgar on 11 Feb 1833, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, LA. Thomas Wiggins was supposed to have died in Shelby Co, TX, before 1860. Hannah J. Edgar Wiggins then married Andrew J. McWhorter. Andrew J. McWhorter was the father of George Riddle McWhorter (through 3rd wife Margaret Riddle), and Hannah Wiggins was his fourth wife. Hannah J. Edgar Wiggins McWhorter is the Hannah McWhorter buried in Old Bethel Cemetery in Grimes Co. I have not been able to find George R. or Hannah Gainer McWhorter after their marriage in Jackson Co. There is some indication that they may have lived in either Grimes or Madison Co.
