You can thank "identity theft" for marriages in 1942-1945 area in Jack County not being on TXGenWeb.

The State of Texas bureau of vital statistics requested those marriage indexes be removed from archives area due to fears of identity theft and there were quite a few individuals that didn't want others to know they had been married more than once. They are still available on a number of "pay-per-view" sites.

The marriage license you are looking for is

L.P. Beavert who married Miss Joe Ellen Earhart on 19 November 1879. The marriage was officiated by W.G. Gregory, minister.
Volume 2, page 153
Jack County Marriage records

The names Beavert and Earhart are how they are spelled in the newspaper announcing their weddings. W.G. Gregory was a circuit riding Christian minister that came to the area on a monthly basis.

The marriage indexes are in the Jack County courthouse from the initial beginning of the county in 1856 to the present.
